All at the Herefordshire Junior League extend our congratulations to Jarrod Bowen, whose last minute goal helped West Ham United win the Europa Conference Cup. Already capped by England, Jarrod started his career at Hereford FC before moving to Hull City. But we’d like to go further back still and to his early playing days in the Junior League with Leominster Minors. This team was successful as well, managed by Sam Bowen, Jarrod’s dad – the pic below was taken in May 2011 at the League’s Edgar St finals and you’ll see Jarrod front centre with medals for winning the league and cup double.
Jarrod has come a long way since then, testimony to his hard work and determination to make the most of his abilities. He has done brilliantly well and is proof that dreams can come true. Well done to Jarrod and everyone who has supported his progress and hopefully all our current Junior League players can be inspired!
