Of course we want every match day experience to be positive but we also know there are occasions where behaviour falls below the standards we all expect, whether spectators, coaches or players. So whilst we fully endorse the FA’s ‘Silent Weekend’ campaigns we’d like all involved in junior football in the county to support our ‘Only Positive’ initiative to remind everyone of the role they can play in making junior football enjoyable for all, not least players and officials.
At various points in the season we’ll ask all clubs to get involved in ‘Only Positive’ weekends where they can display the special boards we shared with them (of course they can be used throughtout the season too).
The more we can publicise this initiative the better so please do share on your social media and emails. It would also be great if you could take some photographs of everyone going flat out to be positive – we’ll leave it with you to capture as best you can!
