The Junior League ‘Futsal Festival’ is underway at Point4 in Hereford. The event which takes place on Saturdays across January and February has had a great take up with 18 teams in each of the Under 7’s, 8’s and 9’s age groups. The idea is to come indoors at a time of year when the weather invariably curtails outdoor games – and the weather at the start of 2025 has made all the teams grateful for the opportunity to keep playing. The event has been coordinated by the league committee, spearheaded by Scott Myers and ably assisted by Mike Tompkins, Steve Barnett and Tim Waight as well as other committee members. The focus is all on players enjoying the Futsal experience and it’s always rewarding to see the great strides teams make over the weeks. Also good to see our young refs Will, Jacob and Jack doing so well.
